Most of the time I have a very specific goal in mind when choosing photography over sleep. And sometimes I get sidetracked by things along the way. I couldn't help pulling over to take a shot of this oak, basking in the starlight at 3am. I'm glad I did. The light pollution was strong; creating a glow on the horizon and a soft orange light on the tree and foreground.
